| Justin's great Japanese adventure blog |
I would like to introduce you all to a friend of mine Justin from England. I met him in Japan through my old flat mate Evan while on holiday to catch up with future family and friends in Saijo. He and Evan were kind enough to let me stay back at the old appartment I lived in while I was having some accomodation problems during my holiday.
I highly recommend Justins blog to those of you thinking about teaching English in Japan. It's a great and honest insight into the trials and tribulations, highs and lows of teaching English at Nova and living in Japan. It's update regularly and if you start at the begining you will also get a good feel for what is involved and what you might go through before you leave for Japan. My experiences were quite simillar, especially the bit about being told I was going to Osaka and then ending up in Hiroshima but not actually Hiroshima but in the coutry side around 20-30 mins by train outside the city. Anoying and disheartening at the time but a decision I'm glad they made though.
There are loads of pics to look at (I'm even hiding in there somewhere), quirky news links and a link to his brothers website Dissident Vox where there is a podcast/broadcats/mp3 streaming thingy of him being interviewed about Japan, it goes for around 30 minutes and worth a listen.
So what are you waiting for? Go check it out. The Great Japanese Adventure. |
